2014: Route du Rhum – Class 40 winner aboard Tales II (singlehanded)


Alex Pella is one of Spain’s most well-known ocean racing experts. In 2014 he became the first Spanish skipper to win a major solo ocean race when he sealed a Class 40 victory in the transatlantic
Route du Rhum. At the beginning of 2017 Pella was part of the crew of the maxi-multihull IDEC on its non-stop record-setting Jules Verne Trophy-winning circumnavigation of the world.
