In June 2018, The Hague will host the finish of the Volvo Ocean Race for the first time in the competition’s 44-year history . After an eight month, 83,000 kilometre, lap of the world, The Hague will be the ultimate destination for the eight international teams and their hordes of supporters. We are proud to welcome a major global event like the Volvo Ocean Race to The Hague as a key event in our celebrations for the 200-year anniversary of the international city by the sea. The team’s base is located by the harbour at Scheveningen, the venue for the annual North Sea Regatta and the ultimate racing sailor’s home port in this part of the North Sea.
